Laurence qualifies as a French avocat. She graduated from Paris II from which she holds a Doctor in Law degree. She also has some American law background: she was visiting scholar at Columbia Law School to pursue research for her thesis on judicial review of arbitral award under French and American law.

Laurence joined the international arbitration group in Paris in 2008, having spent 6 years with the arbitration team at Gide Loyrette Nouel, a French law firm from where she gained experience in international arbitration and in judicial proceeding before French courts in relation to international arbitration issue and private international law. She has also taught French law on contracts and private international law at the universities of Paris II, Malakoff and St Maur and has also published some articles.

She has specialised expertise in international arbitration and private international law. Laurence has acted in both ad hoc and institutional arbitrations (including ICC, UNCITRAL, AFA and ICSID arbitrations). She has been involved in particular in disputes in Asia and the Middle East relating to joint ventures, construction and distribution contracts and has also acted in investment disputes involving sovereign States.
